Web Development

Web development is a specific skill of a person with some technical and artistic knowledge to create digital web sites, accessed through a specific web address called a URL. Each website has its own address, style, theme, and content, to partake information, sell a product or service, or entertain its user. Most web sites are publicly available, but some are private and gated by a user name a password to access the content of the site. A web developer is responsible for creating all of the code and content of the site, and usually maintains a web site for many years after it is initially built.
